Beloved,
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime, weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (1) To you, oh Lord I lift my soul. In you I trust oh God. Do not let me be put to shame nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. ... For you are God my Savior and my hope is in you all day long. (2) Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You. (3)Then shall I have an answer for those who taunt and reproach me, for I lean on, rely on, and trust in Your word.
