Time

One thing I've learned about time is that no matter how much time I have.....it's never enough.

The first few days.....

Kayla,
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you...” 1 Corinthians 1:4
Do you remember the first time I told you that? It was in the first note I ever wrote to you while you were in the hospital. It’s 7:24 pm July 7, 2010. You just came out of your first major surgery. You did wonderful. You had a spinal tap, bone marrow extraction, and a central line installed. you were a trooper. You are in so much pain in that hospital bed right now. James is sitting beside you, I’m on the couch, and your dad is in a chair. I keep praying that the pain will go away. I know it is only going to get harder, but I also know that El Roi (the God who looks down on me) is the same God who looks down on you. He is also the very same God who made the blind man see and made the leopard man be heal. One day you will be able to grab Bongo and walk right out of this hospital room, but until then...I’ll be here waiting, loving you, and praying.
You are strong and you are brave.

Running the Race

Stick it to Cancer Team: We raised thousands of dollars in the fight against Leukemia. The whole team ran the streets of Atlanta underneath the city lights.
